Hi! I’m Tori, Functional Nutritionist, Retreat Chef, & Event Host
I'm a 30-something, recovering corporate-ladder-climber turned health and wellness enthusiast.
As an Oklahoma native, it’s no surprise that I went right to work as a financial analyst for a Fortune 500 energy company mere days after completing my college business degree. Oil and gas was the primary industry recruiting at my alma mater, The University of Tulsa.
I dreamed of working my way up from Analyst to Director to Vice President, and so on. I romanticized a pencil skirt, working in a high-rise, and business travel (I even flew on a private jet a few times). Working long and hard was a badge of honor.
Eventually I moved to Denver, CO, and carried my corporate hustle mentality into the franchising industry, spending 7 years supporting hundreds of small business owners. I achieved my coveted Director title, I was traveling non-stop, and making a pretty decent living to boot. Not to mention, I was living in a city I loved and had recently moved in with my partner (who later became my husband). Life should have been GOOD!
Life was good, except I found myself demotivated, burned out, and anxiety stricken.
In 2020 I decided to pursue my passions of wellness and entrepreneurship and went back to school to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I desired to heal myself and other women like me. Eighteen months later, I quit my corporate job and took The Everyday Yum full time.
I now help women all over the country reignite their vitality by learning how to nourish their bodies with real food, lifestyle practices, and mindset work.
I have BEEN there. I’ve been burned OUT. I know that feeling of being wired, yet exhausted. I didn’t sleep well for years. I sacrificed my self care for busyness.
Let me tell you, it’s not sustainable. If you want to take care of your career, you MUST take care of yourself.
